Secured $25,000 through Strathbogie Shire for solar panels and battery installation at the Avenel Memorial Hall

Gained $10,000 to support incorporation and the development of our strategic plan

Provided 14 interest-free loans of $10,000 each to help residents invest in solar panels, batteries, heat banks, and other renewable technologies
CURRENT PROJECTS
GETTING OFF GAS:
Supporting households to transition from gas to electric alternatives, reducing energy costs and improving health outcomes. Gas appliances — particularly heaters and stoves — contribute to rising bills and respiratory health issues, making electrification a safer and more affordable option.
COMMUNITY ENERGY RESILIENCE:
Upgrading solar and battery systems at the Avenel Memorial Hall and Avenel Recreation Centre to provide reliable heat refuge and fire protection during extreme weather events. Funding is currently being sought through AUSNET.
